SUGGESTED GEAR LIST

Friendly reminder that the weather in the wilderness can change fast and unpredictably. Temperature ranges from 80° to 30° at night. For the pack horses limit the amount of your gear to 40 lbs. It is best that you pack your stuff into two small bags of the same weight. Waterproof bags are very nice but not mandatory. If your going to pack in alcohol it must be part of your total packed gear weight and we require plastic bottles. Pack cameras, fishing gear and sleeping bags separate but use padded and hard cases for their protection. If you have any questions — mhorst@wyoming.com

Sleeping Bag, Duffels, gear
Use this image as your guide - pictured is a sleeping bag, 2 duffel bags, and either your fishing pole or rifle. Please limit your two duffel bags to 20 lbs. each, 40 lbs total.
Preferred duffel bag size is 12 x 12 x 24

baggage

Here's a sample of image of your total baggage excluding your fishing pole or rifle.

ARTICLES NOT PROVIDED

Rifles
I would provide you with a rifle if needed, but is always best to use a rifle of your own. This prevents you from having to bring a back up rifle. Don't forget your shells!

Bear Spray
Due to liability issues I no longer provide bear spray. I do however encourage everyone to carry a can.

Personal Clothing
Bring warm clothes. The temperatures can range from 60° to -40° in Wyoming. The average is about 30° to 40° during the day & dropping below zero at night. For Hunters: One article of clothing must be fluorescent orange. This is per Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Warm boots that are water repellent is a must, bring along a pair of camp shoes to wear around camp.

Hunting Knife
A hunting knife is good to bring along. We will field dress and take care of your trophy if you want. If you wish to take care of your own animal that is up to you. Bring a good pair of binoculars, or a good spotting scope is very useful.

Hunting License
DON'T FORGET YOUR HUNTING LICENSE! WITHOUT IT YOU CAN'T HUNT.
You can get your conservation stamp once you get here.
